Over the 20 years between 1995 and 2015, the proportion of the population aged 65 years and over increased from 11.9% to 15.0%. This group is projected to increase more rapidly over the next decade, as further cohorts of baby boomers (those born between the years 1946 and 1964) turn 65.”

Home Care Services requirements

When a client or carer/relative of a client or an Aged Care Agency contacts the Office, Sharon or a member of her team will discuss with them about the Home Care Services they require, including the length and frequency of the service, for example, 2 hours fortnightly. Clients can then expect a phone call from one of Rosemary’s Home Care’s experienced staff to arrange a day and a time for the initial visit.

The services of Rosemary’s Home Care Service are charged from a minimum of 1 hour. The hourly rate for each type of service varies, but you can be assured prices are economical and competitive with other similar service providers. Please contact the Office for more information.

Flexible Home Care Service

Clients are not locked into a contract – it is a flexible arrangement based on client needs and requests. Some weeks more assistance may be needed, in other weeks less; usually an ongoing arrangement is organised to suit the requirements of the client.

Services can also be provided as a one-off. For example, a client may require their gardening to be done because they have recently been in hospital and although they are a keen gardener, they have not been able to keep the garden maintained due to their recent medical treatment. Or due to illness or injury, the regular house cleaning may have lapsed and an intensive clean/spring clean may be needed to get back on top of things. Services are able to be placed on hold whilst clients are away on holiday or in hospital.

Home Care Packages

“The Australian Government recognises that many older Australians want to stay in their own homes as long as they can. By 2050, over 3.5 million Australians will access aged care each year with around 80 per cent of the services delivered in the community. $955.4 million has been committed over five years to help people stay at home through:the Commonwealth Home Support Programme”. Sharon or her staff, where it is relevant, will advise clients to contact My Aged Care or local Council as they may be eligible for government funded subsidised assistance for the type of home care services they need. Rosemary’s Home Care Service has many contracts with package providers, simply contact the Office to discuss options.

Understanding, flexibility, reliability and trustworthiness

An elderly person can find at times planning ahead difficult because they are unsure as to how  their needs may change. They may be living alone and need some help at home or they may be living with a spouse/partner who needs some extra assistance.  Rosemary’s Home Care Service can help with services that will enable the client to stay in their own home for longer.

They understand what the client is experiencing and can offer support and understanding. The client can be assured of the flexibility needed to cater to their particular circumstances and of the reliability and trustworthiness of the Rosemary’s Home Care Team.

Note, clients do not have to be a minimum age, but for the most part the business works with the elderly – they can also help with cleaning, transport and gardening services for disabled adults in independent living.
